With respect to every class that I’ve taken here throughout the mastery program at Full Sail University, every single course sets a foundation to my future and career outlook. Specifically on my Battle Pizzeria business concept, I cannot begin to express how thankful I am for this education, the professors, and all this experience. Beginning with the first class, ‘Mastery;’ diving into Robert Greene’s book on mastery truly inspired me to earn the discipline on what it takes to become an entrepreneur. I’ve since taken the initiative to read all of Robert Greene books and I cannot begin to express how thankful I am for this class as to introduce me to this wonderful author and now my favorite. My Executive Leadership class helped me understand that leaders are not born but created with hard work, empathy, and self-awareness. Business Storytelling and Brand Development class may have been the most important because it helped inspire me to create the ‘story’ behind Battle Pizzeria and more importantly, my own story. The Sports Management and Operations class helped me take a deeper dive on what it takes manage a sport and what that infrastructure looks like. Entertainment Business Finance helped me take a step back and decide whether my concept was viable. Digital Marketing taught me how to sell Battle Pizzeria and stimulate true creativity. My Sports Marketing and Sponsorship Sales taught me how to speak to future partners in business. I learned how to talk about money while taking my Negotiation and Deal- Making class. Legal Issues in Sports class introduced me to the law of entertainment business and sports. Project and Team Management helped me take my Battle Pizzeria concept, make a smaller version of it, and tackle the project piece-by-piece.
The original goal for this entire program was to take this class specifically, Business Plan Development. I couldn’t wait to take this class and was very excited to finally get to this point. I went to Full Sail University specifically for this class and to complete a business plan for Battle Pizzeria. Without the classes before this, I don’t think there would be a ‘Battle Pizzeria’ the way I’ve developed it today. It’s since grown, organically, to a level that I could never have dreamed of. The goal of this class/program 11 months ago was just to pass. Yet here I am with a 4.0 GPA. My goal for this class has certainly been surpassed as I walk out with a tangible piece of evidence of what I can accomplish and what I’m made of. I’ve grown to truly trust myself and believe in myself and there’s no price to put on something like that. Regarding this class specifically, I’ve learned that Battle Pizzeria is happening. I’ve learned that I can do it.
